New Year, Old Post

Well I guess we have been busy. So Now I will update you on all the things weve been doing since well...Christmas.

 Christmas eve at my moms. We tried to get a family picture. Maybe next year!

 We had to wake the kids up. I imagine in future years they will be waking us up.

I got a Barnes and Nobles "Nook" Its thier version of the Kindle. I too was excited...but not as exaggerated as Lily.

Here Comes Santa Clause?

I know Thanksgiving hasn't even passed yet. But, in my defense, there was no line at the mall. Lily wouldn't sit with Santa by herself. So Mommy had to join in the shot. So give three cheers to the Holidays because they are approaching fast!

Ryans Blessing Day! / Lily's Birthday

So Sunday Nov.1 was Lily's 2nd birthday and also it was fast sunday so we had Ryan's baby blessing as well. I figured Two birds with one stone. It was really busy with Halloween being the night before.

I decided to make cupcakes this year. And Lily also smiled this year instead of crying when everyone sang Happy Birthday.

We got her a Kitchen for her birthday. Now she spends all day "cooking" and making soup and cupcakes!

Halloween at the Trunk-or-Treat!

I didn't take Lily door to door this year. Our wards Trunk-orTreat was on Halloween so we just went there. But she quickly figured out people were giving her free candy an excitedly ran from car to car.

Lily was a White Tiger.

The Pumpkin Patch

I know its been a while but ever since I went back to work we have been super busy! SO here are a few pictures of when we went to the pumpkin patch, sometime around the beginning of October, and Halloween night at the trunk-or-treat.

Uncle Scott, and Aunt Waldina agreed to come with me because Adrian had to work!

2 Months!

Today my little man turned two months. We certainly cannot believe how quickly time has flown. Ryan is such a joy and a blessing in our lives. He is almost always happy and very sweet. He is smiling and cooing and holding his head up pretty well. We love him to pieces. He is now 12 pounds four ounces and 24 1/4 inches long. I hope the nwxt month lasts a little longer.

Apple Hill!

We went on a short trip up the hill to find such exotic treats as Apple doughnuts, Carmel Apples, Apple Cider and Apple Pie! We also stopped for a short pony ride. Lily wouldn't ride by herself so I rode with her.

Church?

So lately Lily has been asking to go to church alot. Everyday as a matter of fact. I have been so amazed by this development. I asked Adrian if he thought it was amazing and he matter of factly told me "It's the light of Christ" So now that I was amazingly proud of my little girl I started to notice some things that occurred when church was mentioned


1. She giggles when the word church is said during prayer time.

2. when I mention a certain set of adorable twin boys she says”Church?!"

3. Lastly when we leave a play date with aforementioned adorable boys she says "Bye Church!"



Ummm. Lily isn't even two yet and she hasn't associated church with the gospel or the good feeling she gets when she go's. Nope in her mind Church=Boys. I think we are in trouble!

Winner! Winner! Chili Dinner

Last night was the Ward's Chili Cook-off. We haven't been at all in the last two years. It was a lot of fun with really good food. Now I'm going to brag just a little: We Won! Adrian wanted to do a BBQ chili so he smoked a beef brisket and then I made up the rest of the recipe. Score for making up a recipe on the fly. Now hears to trying to do it again!

That little poem is so true. I can' believe Lily is in a toddler bed. Last night Adrian put it together and she slept in her bed all night. She didn't cry or try to sneak out. I'm so proud of what a big girl she is but I'm a little sad that she is growing up so quickly!

Happy 1st Birthday Addeline!

My little nice turned one today! I can"t believe a year has gone by so quickly. She had a really fun birthday yesterday and these are a few of my favorite pictures from the event!
The cupcakes were so cute! The only problem was that the red dye was really strong and everybody had stained red hands, teeth, clothes, it was leathal but really tasty!

We love our little man! He makes the grumpiest little faces and Lily sure loves him too. He will be six weeks old on Thursday and we can't believe how fast the time has gone.

The State Fair

It was hot when we finally made it to the fair. we wandered all over looking for the exotic bird show and couldn't find it till we were ready to leave. Then we couldn't find the deep fried snickers and found out after we left that there was chocolate covered bacon! Oh well. There is always next year!

Oh yeah. Lily is afraid of rides.

Cousins!

Kaity and Andy came to cali after a long road trip with their two kids. Seen here is my beautiful cousin Kaity, (she is five months pregnant) and her daughter Grace, (who is two and a half months older than Lily.)

Best Big Sister!

Sorry its been a while since my last posting but things have been busy since Ryan arrived. Lily at first wasn't too thrilled with having a little brother but now she has the hang of it. She likes to give him kisses, help with diaper changes and is always very concerned that he is not wearing a hat. She also likes to do tummy time with him.
